Wings 24 team highlights its last-minute ACMI expertise

Chapman Freeborn Airchartering recently provided last-minute ACMI cover for Transavia following severe storms at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) which prompted the low-cost carrier to perform precautionary safety checks on some of its fleet.
The company's "Wings 24" team stepped in to arrange replacement aircraft for several of the Netherlands-based airline’s B737-700 and B737-800 aircraft, so that services to airports across Europe would remain unaffected.
The ACMI specialists again utilised their 24-hour office presence and real-time aircraft ability to source A310, B757-200, B737-800 and B767-300 aircraft to fly passengers to destinations including Rhodes, Tenerife, Haraklion and Olbia.
In total six flights were confirmed with Transavia following the storms, as well as a further sub-charter for a separate European airline. Following the precautionary measures Transavia’s aircraft quickly returned to service and operations resumed as normal.
