Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has scooped the Air Cargo Week award for Air Cargo Charter Broker of the Year for the second year running.
Voted for by worldwide freight forwarders and logistics providers, the award reflects the company’s professionalism in coordinating over 3,400 cargo charters last year.
The accolade was received at a gala dinner at the Air Cargo China event in Shanghai, on Wednesday 18 June 2008.
George Mikhailov, executive director of Chapman Freeborn’s Beijing operation, collected the award on behalf of the group.
Thanking the many clients that voted for Chapman Freeborn, Mikhailov said:
“We are extremely proud to know that after 35 years we are still finding our clients the right charter solutions, at the right price.
“My colleagues around the world share a tremendous sense of pride in this achievement.”

Having previously landed the 2007 award in Europe, Chapman Freeborn was pleased to receive this year’s honour in China, with the Far East considered another of the company’s key markets.
Chapman Freeborn was the first of the international charter brokers to firmly establish its presence in China with a Beijing office which opened in 2004, and a Hong Kong office which started operations the following year. The reach of the company in the region is furthered still with a strategically located hub in Singapore.
The full 36 office network stretches from the Americas and Europe to the Middle East and Asia, specialising in moving urgent freight, heavy and outsize pieces, dangerous goods and AOG parts.
The Chapman Freeborn group also offers a full range of passenger charter and leasing services amounting to over 1,500 operations per year.
